Today's morning didnt start off very well. How so...
Yesterday, I was already tired... from classes 830 to 330pm, i had to head down to ITE Simei for my duty for IVP floorball. It ended 9 plus, i reach home 10 plus and slept close to 1am. I had to prepare for today's morning plan...
Which is.. My first day at work! I had to go to Bukit Batok Sec ... as a trainer for sec 1 kids. I joined this company which had contracts with the school to teach these kids non-academic matters.
So 630am, i had to reach Bugis for my boss to pick me up. Guess what.. along the way... we were caught in traffic jam, kena stuck for almost an hour! Reaching the school late, what was lucky is that some delays on the school side, the class was sent back to wait too.
anyway, it was a short session where we had to conduct an activity - DISC personality tests for them. It went still quite well overall, though i would have prefered more time with the class.
Oh well... bcos of my tiredness, i had to almost drag myself back home... ALL THE WAY FROM BUKIT BATOK! oh gosh.. quite a torture...

Much to be proud though sad ending - 12/01/08
Tonight was the match for the girls against NTU... YEs, its like a rematch for the guys match...
The girls started the game with a high tempo... They chased every single ball with bravery and determination! Though NTU were the more skillful lot, the girls defended well and even took the lead through Tracy! Twice we lead, twice we lost the lead.
The first goal conceded was quite a freak goal. The shot by the NTU girl was deflected and actually flew over Shi hui's head. She was totally unsighted!
What's worse was the 3rd and crucial goal conceded by the girls. It was the dying seconds of the game when NTU did a line change and had 7 players on the court! Yes, by rules, 1 player should have gotten a 2 min sideline... SMU would be 1 player up and have a huge chance of winning it... However, no one sighted it... Not the referee, not the coach, not the match officials! and through that incident, NTU scored with 30 odd seconds left...
It was a cruel ending for the girls... But the whole lot of us were proud of their performance.. ! cos they played their hearts out!
Tml is the guys' last match and we have a very slim chance of actually qualifying...
whatever it is... i believe we would give it our best to show RP what's SMU are made of... !!!

Interesting attire - 10/01/08
Today's class was interesting in some ways ... YES! i had class on saturdays... !
i got this World Travel & Tourism module. Well, the prof asked us... "so, why did u guys bidded for this module?" "What are you expected to gain out of it at the end of the module"... well, personally, i didnt really think much about it when i bidded for it seriously. I just thought it is an interesting module to take... and it really could expose me to another different matter.
anyway, what was interesting was the prof's attire today.... i dont know if its a marketing people kind of attire... but it is special...
2 different patterns... 1 pattern on his left side of his shirt and on his right sleeve... while the rest is covered with a 2nd pattern.
hard to describe... and didnt take any picture .. hha...

Win! - 09/01/08
Yes, a win! from SMU floorball ...
Apparently, it is the 1st win in like a few years for SMU in IVP...
It wasn't totally convincing, but I would say we really deserve the win...
Sch wise, well... it is still the first week...
but havent got into the school mood yet.. with the IVPs... and next week, there's still a new part time job im starting.. havent been posting my textbooks... havent been looking for new text... and there's assignment already!

First a bit sian then.. a sudden unexpected good news - 03/01/09
Today was not a good start for the day... On my way to sch for my floorball training, there was cock up to the court bookings again.... Another club had block booked the whole court for the whole day!!!
and i neglected this... causing the whole team not able to train properly... this doesn't help at all in the preparation when it is just days before our first match..

next week is another new start for the term... 4th term in SMU coming up!
what will lie ahead for me this term? hmm... I will be playing in IVP Floorball... first time i entered into the squad... I will still be working at school gym... while i have to prepare another fitness exam mid way through.. suck... I will start work as a trainer for secondary schools... this is interesting that i will be teaching things like arts, SEL (Social-Enterprise-Literacy) which is what i wish for...
Now... a good news came mid way in the afternoon... from a phone call from Rivervale CC... apparently, my scholarship application from this generous donor had been approved! just that i may still need to wait for another 3 weeks or so, for the remaining details to be finalised... keke.. till now, i still dont know what is the value of the scholarship lei... ! strange .. but still Thank God...
