highest level of Calmness

highest level of Calmness

Those who is working in the service industry, be it as a promoter, customer services officer or even corporate workers serving his clients, Im sure all would agree that customers do give us a hell of a time at times... that we feel like shouting them back for their unreasonable demands or comments..

My time in Mount E have been pleasant accept for situations when such customers come and spoil my day... My initial months with such customers, i failed terribly i must say... trembling when i cannot handle them... but good that i have met those kind of ppl... just make me even "stronger" in a sense... nowadays when i faced such ppl whether is it arogant or demanding, inside me, i can sense more calmness in my behaviour... no more panicking, no more " how ah? how ah?"

Today i had to face another such customer... though they are quite nice ppl ... their insistent can be quite bothersome... All they know was that they only wanted Single room for the patient... same prob Mount E face almost everyday... they would rather not proceed with treatment ... which i find it totally unbelievable... just bcos they do not get the room that they would like..

what i dont understand is .... why cant the patients or family members understand when we explain to them that its subject to availability... i can understand if they think that they are in a hotel.. but as a reality... Its a hospital... and rooms cannot be booked in advance... oh gosh.. this is a never ending problem that my poor Sister Png and Thilaga have to face...

Anyway, today when things got quite nasty when the patient who have a very hot temper starting to scold me and my customer officer... lucky his wife managed to get him to sit aside...
that point of time, i realised that i was kinda calm.. wasnt really affected much by his shouting... pretty amazed by how i was able to do that...

Anyway, in the end, their persistence got them the precious single... but had to delay the patient's treatment...

I really must think of some useful suggestions for Business Office to improve the bed system... its in a total mess i must say....

Time for Resignation

Time for Resignation

Counting on, it have been almost 7 months here in Mount E already... my longest record with a company. By now, i believe everyone in the office knows that Im leaving in a month time. Today i hand in my resignation letter to my executive. Well, she wanted me to hand in in advance.

It was my first ever time writing a resignation letter, so i was kinda puzzled on how to go about doing it. I even asked her if i could notify verbally... well, her reply was a definite no.

She had requested me to hand in early, citing reason so that they can start to hire new staff for training. Oh well, so I prepare it and submit it today. Counting the days left in Mount E, i guess i still have about a month left before i formally go...
