Bondue Camp - 07/08/08

Straight after my Cambodian trip, it was Bondue Camp straight away. With not much rest, i was heading back to school at night when i just touched down Singapore a few hours ago.

Being a faci this time round, it was a different experience as I and amanda had to initiate and bring the freshies through the camp. First up was the usual ice breaker games... then it was to Lunch at Raffles Place shopping centre. There ,we ate at Thai Express and we had the chance to sit, eat and chat a bit which i think was good for a group as whole to try to get to know each other.

Right after lunch was a series of station games awaiting the freshies. It was gonna be wet and dirty and indeed it didn't disappointed. Though my team wasn't the super on type, i could still see them enjoying the whole process as a whole. For me and Amanda, being faci does not mean we could escape. I was being dunked by peanut butter, ketchup and flour all over my face! So too was Amanda...

At night was Geylang Jalan Jalan, where all gourps had to walk along Geylang to "complete" certain tasks and stations. Our group simply slacked along the way and settled at a tau huay store. There, each of us leaked some secrets of our past and current relationships.... and ahem... as promised, it is kept within us...

Back in SR, we did not went to sleep straight away, as the guys tried to talk some spooky ghost which did not frighten all of us except for Samantha who just can't stand hearing such things. Melvyn had to cut in halfway talking some lame jokes and from horror story telling, to lame questions and answers... haha...

2nd day was a whole day in Sentosa. Our team was already stalled by the waiting time as we had to wait almost 40 mins before we could even start our first station! Our progress wasn't that fast i must say and we are Slackers! However, our performance at the stations itself wasn't too bad. Anyway, we didn't complete the race and they settled by heading to Vivo for ice-cream. Now, up next, is probably one of the highlights of the camp. There at vivo, there is this Dove ShowerOK promotion going on, where the public could sing KTV in a "shower room" and they get a chance to win...

Despite some inital unwillingness to go in, i took the chance to persaude 7 others to go in with me. In the end, we sang "Larger than Life" and create quite a crowd around us. Being the faci of the group, i had to initiate the craziness. I just let hell loose i must say... and first time my freshies seen me gone crazy inside. anyway, if anyone happen to see this... you can vote for me at

There you could see how crazy my group was... and do some voting for me too ya.. keke

At night was chill out night. Dinner wasn't too bad as we ate buffet style! First time stage games was held at the atrium too. Activities ended around 11pm while each group head back for their own programs for the night. The 2nd night was fun , memorable, yet a bit angry and irritated... I would just say that i had loads of fun playing with my freshies !

we got to sleep only 4 hours with me having to wake up a few times in between to ensure Amanda was sound sleeping. The last day activities was "sports day"

As camp was over by 3plus, most of us still went for a bite after that. We left about 6pm for home as all of us were tired from the 3 day camp.

My feelings overall: Happy to have them as my freshies! Nice bunch of people... Though not as competitive as i would like them to be, but their bonding was excellent and that's more important. If I have made any certain positive impact to anyone of them during this 3 days, then i say my time as a faci for them was worth it.
