2 days time ! - 27/07/08
Excited, well, not really... for now...
What awaits me ahead is 3 days 2 night of travelling.. after almost immediately... 3 days 2 nights of School camp for the freshmen.
Definitely one week to remember....
Of cos... must maintain my health... falling sick at this time would be disasterous!
Not to mentioned, i still another problem to settle before i head to Cambodia. That's floorball meeting with the other clubs to settle out bidding slots for Sports Hall for this coming term...
Good guy, Bad guy... Within one - 27/07/08
It was until Farhan spoke highly of the movie that got me enticed. Super high ratings! and some even said the best movie EVER! But basically, equal praise from Roger, Jasper, Aaron and co made me called JJ and TF out to see.
Anyway, what's with the good guy and bad guy thingy then?
The movie, to me emphasize a lot of human angelic and evil side within them.
Joker (the bad guy) created mayham over the city, not for money but for the "fun" where he just wanted to create chaos through the several tests of the human mind/dignity/ethics...
To put it short, what i get from this movie is... To be the good guy is tough. You must uphold your principles, behave the right way, do the right things. However, a true good, upright guy is one who can maintain and withhold his actions/thoughts even through extreme adversity.
Now, this... if relate back to life/reality... how often do we hear/see or even talk about the problems we have and face everyday. To be a little extreme, compared to what happen in the movie to what we all faces daily... it is nothing exactly... at least this is what i would try to think. And how often do we see ppl or even ourselves give in the problems and simply give up... giving up on the situation, giving up on ourselves or people ard us. Are we then the good guy or the bad?
This is prob one strange review on a movie i just did... haha...

My First official Blogshop
I decided finally to create a more decent blog in order to do my DIY business more effectively and better. I had to plan the outlook, the information, and more importantly how do i go about doing it.
I had problems with the coding, html... simply said, i suck at IT and could not created an ideal blog that i imagine of. After much sourcing and testing myself, i know i was not meant for such task. Then i asked my bro to help me out. Indeed, things got better since. I was able to get my ideal layout in no time, and problems that i could not solve myself was easily solved by my bro.
Though he isn't super zhai at it, at least he knows much more. Basically without his assist, i probably would still be stuck at nowhere lands...
now that its up, i have to think of how to market my blog out....
Now, that is what i call MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS!
Its a whole new look, clean , clear and hopefully concise and enticing enough to attact new customers and orders...

A Win - 20/07/08
Leading 2-0 at the 1st period, it was a good change of events as compared to the previous 2 games. However, at the 2nd period, we turn off a bit and allowed them to pull it back to 3-3.
With Jamie back in charge, there was more stability and guidance. We distanced the score during the last period where i managed to provide a nice assist too!
Well, back to training tomorrow, as there are still many things for us to improve.
Defensively, we were poor today during their free hits.
Personally, other than keeping up the fitness, it's still back to the basic control of ball, running with the ball and first time shot that i got to master.
JIA YOU JIA YOU!!! I hope to continue this winning momentum...

Floorball league matches 13/07/08
Even so, it is definitely a good experience for me and some of the new guys. Personally, i have been training pretty hard to improve and learn the game. Going through the 2 matches, it kinda hits on me that i still have loads to learn and practice on.
In terms of fitness, speed, physciality, i am still below par.
Oh well, i'm taking all the good, and absorbing the bad to improve.
With our coach coming back this week, let's hope there would be better stability and guidance.

Bidding of Modules - 10/07/08
One have to consider so many details before a successful bid goes in.
From the modules to bid for, the profs, the day and timing, the people to bid together and whether any exams clashes with each other...
What the hell... i bidded for 3.5 modules and i only get 1 module from the first round...
and rearrangement have to be done... AH !!!! frustrating shit...
Army ICT - 10/07/08
This time ICT is suppose to be my High Key period.

Time Waits for No One - 19/06/08
Many years ago, i bought a house on the resale market. The previous owners had lived there for the past twenty years. They moved in when they got married. For us, it was the time when my younger son had just been born, and we bought it because we wanted to provide two lively boys with a lawn to run around. When i was cleaning out of the rooms, I found a wedding photograph of the Tsai couple, the previous owners, stacked in a corner of the master bedroom. I contacted them to come and retrieve their photograph.
When we met, i teased them for leaving their precious photograph behind. Mrs tsai smiled back and said:" Its funny, ever since we got it back from the photo studio, it had been placed in that corner. We wanted to put it up over the bed when we have the time, never did we think twenty years would pass by and it would still be there in the corner" At this, we all laughed out loud together. As they left, i still called after them:" this time, remember to hang that on the wall in your new house."
My mother often said to me, " Time waits for no one!" She would tell me:" three years can go by in the blink of an eye. A lifetime could be like three blinks; your life could all be spent with nothing at all save the white hairs to show for it." So i constantly remind myself to cherish the present. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is undecided. Only today is what we have in hand. Tomorrow will have its beginning in today. How we fare tomorrow is bring determined from today. So ask yourself what sort of future you really want.
My eldest brother was an artist. All his peers held their art exhibitions. They also urged him to hold one. Each time he would decline, saying " My paintings are just not good enough! Wait till I can do them better," Once, while i was back Taiwan and his classmates had just held their exhibitions, I urged him:" Big brother, you are their equal. What are you waiting for? Until your are too old?" He said:" relax, I will hold a really great one man show when i reach 70." Alas, my eldest brother died at the age of 66 years. Last november when it would have been his 70th birthday, his old classmates came together and held for him the "Mr Lee Wen Ya Memorial Art Exhibition" It was a great show. But he was no longer around to see it.
The 3 golden rules of "DON'T WAIT"
When u have the need, DON'T WAIT
When u have the vision, DON'T WAIT
When u have the passion, DON'T WAIT
For this simple reason-" Time waits for no one"

A new lesson learnt, but same all together - 13/06/08
Met up a few times for a good talk and chat. Personally, i find him a nice guy, a person who is sincere. However, as my feelings and suspicions grew along with my former exposure, it was still back to the same old thing again. All about MLM/Network Marketing and etc... His "office" let the cat out of the bag. Through searching in internet, i found my answer!
I did told him that i don't think that MLM do not work, but rather it is the people in it that makes it bad. MLM needs people to work, but it is the same people that makes it fall.
I still have his books with me that i have not read it yet. I believe they are helpful to me, i would find time to read it soon. and prob meet him up to pass him back.
Then... Back to my life direction, i have to really rethink/refocus or rather i have not found the answer after this few years of asking and trying and answering myself. Slowly but surely.. hopefully in the near future so that i can really focus and work towards it.

Definition of Happiness - 03/06/08
Managed to arrange time to meet him for a chat. We were talking when this issue of happiness came about. I remembered he said that he heard a famous writer saying that happiness is obtained once every small little goals are achieved along the way towards a bigger goal.
Thought of it afterwards about it.
Does Happiness come from these small little goals? does it count for external sources?
I was thinking doesnt happiness come from within instead? Meaning u start to be happy by being happy... and not happy only when ppl or circumstances made u happy.
Whatever it is... Happiness can be vague too. People may think that they are happy with a lot of money... they may think they are happy with many friends... or simply happy by seeing the people around them happy. So question we must ask today may be are we happy today? Are we doing the right things... thinking the right way to be happy....

Busy Busy Busy - 01/06/08
Had another 1 day outdoor camp, back to army camp for my medical refresher training, my continuous floorball training and headache settling many logistics stuff for my floorball.
tonight for the first time had the rare chance to see a concert! wow!
My bro was lucky to win a pair of tickets to Zhang Dong Liang 's concert, so together went to see it.
His singing was fantastic i must say. for the good of 2 plus hours heard some of his main songs from his past albums.

Working at 1st Outdoor Camp - 24/05/08
First, i still have a lot to learn to be a good facilitator. I handled Pri 5 school kids in this camp and they are quite a handful together. Being my first time, i have not been able to keep their spirits up all the time. Using my own method, it seems not useful or rather no effects on them at all. For that, in this camp, i did quite a bit of observations to other experienced facilitators on how what they did to control the kids.
Having said that, personally, i have tried my best in this camp to keep them safe, have fun and teach them some learning points that they should note of. I believe, with continual experience, i would do it better in terms of guiding, advising and facilitating.
The camp was at Bottle Tree Park at Yishun area. if i remembered correctly, one friend of mine told me to go there some time to check it out, saying that it was a nice place to go to fish. Well, just nice, this camp brought me there. The camp took me a lot of my time there, so i did not really get to see and enjoy the environment proper. However, the place leave a good impression on me. Looks quite a nice place to just hang out and relax.

First Camp Assignment - 18/05/08
It will be next thurs to fri, a 2D 1N camp.
Now thinking of it, i have to get a backpack, maybe a pouch, torchlight, whistle
Besides equipments, i still need to prepare other stuff like cheers, ice breaker games and read through the briefing booklet about the camp know-hows.
hmm... not so sure if im taking primary or secondary school students, will need to go for a pre-camp briefing to know more.
Anyway, so nice.. a friend design something for me out of my name. Pretty cool given that its the first time she's doing it. And i even told her i may used the design to draw onto my faci tshirt... kinda can differentiate myself from others ya...
need to get a bit of permmission before i do that. keke :)

Too many to handle? - 14/05/08
But what hits me is my Sch CCA commitments, work, family problems, personal problems, etc... but im still surviving still..
Floorball logistics is giving me a lot of work for now. Because im taking over, and earier than expected. I have loads of things to clear and sort out.
Family and personal prob is slowing me down at times, as the issues will just roll and roll inside my mind most of the time and delay me from other matters.
Upcoming commitments are my work. Taking adhoc/project jobs, this really tests my time management. Soon i will start on my outdoor camp facilitator for sec/pri school, school gym staff, and my usual kumon tuition centre work.
AH!!!!!!!!! No rest no rest... but that's typically me...
hopefully i can really enjoy and rest well when i go for Cambodia...

Hate the feeling of sick - 12/05/08
Anyway, before that i did something new. That is to went filming. Yes... filming as an extra. I did once before but it was just as part of a crowd.. clapping when told or not... sitting there do nothing...
This time, i managed to "register" myself through an agent, introduced by my aunt. Surprisely, the job came fast. Yesterday, i was to act as a boyfriend of a blind girl. THe whole story is based on a true life story of this couple. I and the fake blind girl was the younger version of the couple.
All in all, did about 5 to 6 scenes, about how the bf met her, what the bf did to help her in her school work and etc...
Quite an experience i must say... but it can be help if the director could just shout "cut" in her directing. Often, a few scenes, we are still acting when they have already stopped rolling the camera. Make me like an idiot like that. :)-
Anyway, coming back home, totally shack and this ill feeling in me developed. SUCK... hope to get better... Tml still have OJT to go to in the morning.

Simple / Complicated - 25/04/08
Life suppose to be simple, but yet, people would always do something or think something that makes simple ... complicated.
Yesterday went to join Sports leaders camp. wasnt supposed to be there as an official participants, but was encouraged by Hussein to go. Since i could afford the time, i felt it was no harm going to learn and know more about the way things work and the people. I must say the end result personally was not too bad.
Discussion wise, i could observe a bit on how several individuals think through the discussion and chats. Some are just there because they were made to. other like me and Hussein still joined when they are not suppose to, because we want to. Comments/suggestions made during discussions, often than not, it is to address their individual problems specifically. simple procedures are made complicated all because of the complexicity of humans.
Claims of expenses have to go through at least a few steps... much time consumed by the parties involved.Events proposal have to be done.. Red Tape... Hierachy of events and chains to go through... All this made by humans, caused by humans... because of humans making things complicated when it ought to be easy.
even i myself are still going this period from time to time, be it relationship or work. May god bless and lead me the right path...!
Made quite a mess - 25/04/08
What ironic is, my initial design took me about 1 hour, while after suggestions and viewpoints from my bro, i took about 3 mins to draw a new one. Though it was much simple, it fulfilled more to the requirement that the girl wanted.
Anyway, started to colour and made quite a mess in the end, oh well.. that part and parcel of doing it yourself. I'm like 85% done for the first cap. Hope to get both done by saturday so that i can proceed to "hers" next.

Project Cap - 22/04/08
Interesting, she is giving me the freedom to do the designs for her. However, i have to source the cap and think of the design though. Cant be profitable now but who knows right in the future... haha... I am just glad that she likes my designs so far. Hope to do a good job for her.
In addition, planning to do one for "her" too. Thinking she might need it ... I hope that she would like it or even use it too... Time will tell...

Though its over... 18/04/08
This week had Financial Accounting, Management Science and Technology and World Change.
FA, though it was cup of tea, in the sense that i did accounting before, it was supposed to be a breeze for me. Well, during studying, it did, cos i did not need to spend a lot of time to study this subject. On test date, it turn out to be quite tough i must say... Though manageable, there's still a thought hanging whether did i do well? Did i calculate them properly... cos in the end, i didnt had time to check at all, and with that uncertainty, it will always give me a uncomfortable feeling...
MS, i expected it to be tough, well... my prof doesn't give easy, straight forward question. True, from the start to the end, everyone was on their toes all the way... haha...I had to rush answering the questions and again, No time to check... i even had to skip a part question.. Now come to good part, I remembered at the start of the term, the first lesson, i would notice prof givving us a cheeky look at us when we were all so blur at the concepts he was teaching. Now at the end, when exam has finished, that same look has appeared. He was talking to 2 other students about the qns that he set. Apparently, two of the qns, the later part of the questions were exactly the same answers as the earlier part of the qns. He said it while explaining and that expression of his appeared again... oh my... it is as if he is "laughing" inside of him that we silly students were tricked by him yet again.
Oh well, today's TWC was no better. We had a set of articles, links, information to read up first before the paper. Though the questions given were a bit expected in a way or another, the time given was just 2 hours. BAsed on the things we need to absorb and write, i had to rush through the 2 hours yet again... and again... No time to check... in fact, i wouldnt know what to check...
Anyway, now that's over, what's next... Yes.. there is a 4 month holiday ahead of me before year 2. But... there's lots of things to settle, to ponder, to do... and to think about... Hai...

Spirit of Enterprise - 09/04/08
All points to me wanting to wake up in the early morning to watch the liverpool match... oh well... at least LIVERPOOL IS IN THE SEMIS!
anyway, after class, i had to head to SIM Management House for a briefing. It was job scope where i and others were to be interviewers for Spirit of Enterprise. Its a yearly event where entrepeunuers are awarded for their work they did in their respective fields.
And i... my work is to search for these kind of entrepeuneurs... interview them... and nominate them for the award... Interesting job indeed. Though its a adhoc assignment basis, it is one interesting job.
Anyone have someone in mind whom i can nominate for the award???

Never let you go - 05/04/08
The rain just never seems to bring the joy, I feel the same,
Everlasting pain of my loss remains,
My heart can't seem to learn to part,
The hold you left your mark,
All that I dreamed of now it seem so stark,
Though I told myself, won't hold my breath,
A part of me was dying,
There is nothing left for me to do now, but give in,
*Chorus
If you gave me one chance to tell you how I was feeling,
I would sing to you and tell you I won't live my life without you,
If you gave me one chance to tell you how I was feeling,
I would hold your hand and look in your eyes,
And you know I'd never let you go.
The way you left me on the train,
I don't know what to say,
I remember everything of that day,
I can't believe we'd never dance,
I just need one more chance,
To share the sunset,
Our one last romance,
Though I told myself, won't hold my breath,
A part of me was dying,
There is nothing left for me to do now but give in,
If you gave me one chance to tell you how I was feeling,
I would sing to you and tell you I won't live my life without you,
If you gave me one chance to tell you how I was feeling,
I would hold your hand and look in your eyes,
And you know I'd never let you go.
If you gave me one chance to tell you how I was feeling,
I would sing to you and tell you I won't live my life without you,
If you gave me one chance to tell you how I was feeling,
I would hold your hand and look in your eyes,
And you know I'd never let you go

Lower Concentration level - 27/03/08
Usually, even how busy i am, i could sort out my task and time manage quite well. But this few days, minds been out of sorts. What more work load should have been lessen as i have clear some assignements and presentations.
oh well, maybe the uncertainty of the upcoming holidays made me like this?
Or what? gosh... talking nonsense again...
anyway, what shall i do for holidays?
1) go back Mount E hospital ( provided they accept me back as part time staff of course)
2) Seek new part time jobs ( can rest a bit first b4 searching)
3) Apply internship (considering this... still have a few more days before dateline application)
4) Work for sch (but is successful, i would only have 3 days of rest and its work again)
Hai.. in the mist of this, also there's another flexible job that i havent gone for briefing yet. Dont know how much commitment that takes too... hmmm....

Headache / Medical Pill - 23/03/08
this few days been having headache and feeling heaty.
Just yesterday, mum gave me some pill that she initially prepare for dad.
She initially got it for dad, but he stopped eating. so we went to the medical hall to ask the shop auntie abt the pills.
anyway, the freaking pills is damn expensive... i was shocked when she tried to get my mum to buy more. she was saying currently is $40 per pill !!!
Freak... in the end i found out it is a kind of pill where the medical hall would crush that particular pill and put it into 8 capsule... so it means $5 per capsule.. .
Omg!!! anyway, i took one already to see its effect... supposedly to help me "drain" out my toxic in my body... we'll see if i will be more "healthier" ... keke..

By the Power of Your Love
Flowing from the grace that I found In You
Lord I've come to know The weakness I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love
Hold me close Let Your love surround me
Bring me near Draw me to Your side
And as I wait I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You Your Spirit leads me on
By the power of Your love
Lord unveil my eyes Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love as You live In me
Lord renew my mind As Your will unfolds my life
In living every day By the power of Your love
Hold me close Let Your love surround me
Bring me near Draw me to Your side
And as I wait I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You Your Spirit leads me on
By the power of Your love

Listening Ear 18/03/08
"It is only after many people not worth knowing that you find a few who worth much more
It is only after many failures that you find success. "
True? Well... I think it is... Despite many failures, it doesnt mean one should stop searching his own success.
Despite the many jerks or uncertainty in your relationship, it doesnt mean that you should stop from searching the right one or fight in maintaining your happiness.

201 POSTS! - 10/03/08
Ok... for the past few posting, it has been shit... nothing but shit about me.
I have decided.... HEY! this blog is simpleme-des.blogspot.com.
Its supposed to be simple, and everything about me Desmond. The simple, positive, ever cheerful, brave, never give up Desmond must persist here... Well.. at least here...
So i have decided, here... there will be only good positive posts... No more emo me... No more sadness about me....
Thanks to BoBo, Casey, Aaron and those who happen to take notice of my change or showed concern to me. Thanks, really thanks....
But its still in me that i tend to keep problems on my own. So i will bring all the bad things to another blog. Link? well... of course i will keep it a secret.
Who will get to know it? well... highly unlikely anyone will get it.
I hope no one would somehow be able to search it and spread it around though... keke...

Rashness and Hot Temper 16/03/08
My mum and grandma experienced it first hand many times... a hell lot of times...
Not forgetting my poor brother and close friends... of course, at times i flare up is because of them being bullied by outside parties.
Take my bro example when i was still in Pri 6 and he was pri 4, he had a quarrel with a friend and her mum confronted us. I got really angry and defended my bro like hell. I did not give face to the auntie and argued back for my brother. I am damn protective to those close to me.
But often than not, i flare for the wrong reasons. Shouting and scolding was common thing that my family faced. My mum had to cool me down many times, reminding me the right from the wrong. How i appreciate that... after time since then, i have managed to control my temper better. Also given the change in circumstances around me, i could not longer bear to quarrel with my grandma. With her condition getting bad to worse, this is just something i should do (or rather not do - flare up again).
Overtime, i have grown to be more careful of other's thinking and feelings. I tried as much to be as positive as possible despite whatever problems i faced. Nothing fazed me, i take it by my stride, i faced it bravely. But because of that, i tend to take it all on my own, trying to handle and solve on myself. I knew that's not right. But im not one who will openly discussed my problems easily.
Then come this stupid mistake again. Something i did in the moment of rashness, yet again. Now, what will happen next? Is it lost forever, I hope not... i really Hope not...or else, it will be another regret that i have bear again. I know time is needed now and i shouldnt rush things yet again.
No title this time 16/03/08
I may have made a silly one this time... a really silly one this time... but
i take it as something i have to go through, some thing to learn.
Only time will tell... only time will tell..
I mean i rather i suffer than the other party. I rather take it all on my own.
at least i had Steven Gerrard to talk to... that's not too bad... haha...
Thanks bro...

Nice Prof - 06/03/08
Though i have yet to meet her personally, her mail replies says it all.
I am still in the mist of deciding my major. and OBHR is now under my consideration list.
Through some findings, I contacted this Prof through mail and i sent a hopeful mail to her hoping for a reply.
To my surprise, her reply was fast and good. She was more than willing to give me some advice on my problem and even offered to meet up to discuss with it.
As such, im meeting her next week for it. Nice right...

i joined with my floorball mates for this event. Its a event where we get to play many different games. They had beach soccer, handball, frisbee, volleyballl etc etc....
We got ourselves into different groups and today we had to reach early. We got a early scare when it was raining when we got the place. Luckily, it soon began to stop. Though later there was still some drizzling, it didnt disrupt the games that much.
In total, i played about 10 games.... 6 at beach soccer, 4 at handball.... Total Shack.
But we had fun... Just simply spend one day out of school work is just great!
of course, i still hope that she gets well soon too...

Had fun in the primary school 29/02/08
I had to travel all the way to NUS for briefing and training first before i was selected to be a lead trainer for classes.
I must say that i was intially quite nervous about the scenario of handling so many kids at one time. But it was a challenge i wanted to take up.
Hiccups along the way as the software keeps giving me unwanted problems.
Despite many email communication with the PEM personnel, i could not settle it at all.
So what was taught to me by my trainer, I had to readjust, change and add necessary changes.
My first school was to be at Pasir Ris Primary. Never did i know that, the school itself had the same problems in the software. I and my asst trainer had to come out ways to change the training program so that the kids could try to take in as much as possible.
Today, i went to Poi Ching School where i handled primary 6 students. Compared to Pasir Ris, where i handled Pri 3 & 4, this school gave me lesser problems in the software too.
Being the 2nd class, I got the hang of it and could control the class better too.
Anyway, a cute thing happen is that a prefect wanted my email contact saying that to him, it is normal to get trainer contact. ... haha.. i was thinking such a young kid and he know how to network already...

No mood 17/02/08
But somehow... I just dont have the mood. Been thinking about some stuff... and pondering about Life again... Yes.. time from time, i would just think on just the topic about life itself...
What's there to think... well...
can be about friendship, relationship, work, family,
on reasons, results, purposes... on why must one do this...why must one react like that...
about how irony life is... about what should i do regarding certain aspects of life...
should i just go for it? Am i picky? Am i thinking too much? or might as well dont think at all?
Is there enought time? or simply too much time i have wasted already....
What if this.. What if that...
Why cant this... why cant that...
so many things... factors that link together... linking people's thoughts, actions and future consequences.... All are so interlinked... It ought to be simple.. But... it never was... and i guess it never will be...
Now.. who is reading this... bear with me...
It may be crap to you... but its what keeps me thinking a lot...
crazy as it is... it is just ME...
Mention to some before that i like to listen to people...
listen to their troubles, queries, questions...
like to help solve or simply just share by listening...
Today, another friend mention that im a positive looking person...
well... it is what keeps me going...
but often or not...i am the same as all others...
i havent been able to find a right person where i can do vice versa... where i can simply voice everything out... without thinking of the latter consequences that may bring...
Is this my weak link?
Who will it be... Will there ever be... I dont know...

Not so good CNY 10/02/08
Today, one even told me that there was a belief that those in the zodiac year should wear red underwear to keep themselves good luck... so funny strange belief...
Anyway, it did not bring me a good start in any sense.
First up, though it is supposed to be holiday, I was still bothered by the many tasks i have still at hand. Even at new year's eve, i was still doing researching, doing up proposal etc...
Things did not improve the next day as i kena sore throat and start to have the NOT FEELING WELL feeling in me. Basically, i struggled a bit the last two days when it was supposed to be REST day for me... not RECOVERY days.
Even today, the 3rd day , i had to be in sch for class and presentation. And i was coughing all the way during class... SUCK...
Though i feel much better now... still it does not feel good to be sick. I must really find a way to stop this from happening. If not, I would have to struggle at least once in each term, and that would sure disrupt my productivity.

Developments in LTB
Today had our proposal presentation to the whole class. It was generally well accepted except for some of the details that the others were concerned of. If not, it is a good session.
Though freaking tired after sleeping at 3am the night before, I feel that the group as a whole has progressed to another level. I appreciate by the recongition of my efforts towards the project by my fellow groupmates. We had a mini short session of discussing our progress so far and I must say this group is definitely super cool. Accept for some minor flaws, i think that we have addressed it and from there, i could see from the way we work, it became more efficient.
It was obvious to me in class when each of us handled different tasks on hand and distribute it accordingly. Nabil, one of our group member, though a little left out inititally have reassured that he has to commit to the whole group cause. He knows what he is lacking and he has to start to prove us wrong. I can his potential... Hope everything will go on well as times progresses.
I was particularly impressed by Sherlyn by her determination. We were caught on hold regarding one of our proposed idea and she just couldnt take it down. She continued source for ways for a solution and guess what, SHE DID! Though it is not fully solved, but no all hope is lost for it... I know that if it was me, i would have just let it go and progressed to other plans. Something that i ought to learn.

Reply from Food Junction 1/2/08
This is much better than a chain of medical clinic.. which i forgot the company name...
I remembered it was a 2 year plus ago when i had to bring my mum to a doctor late at night. We had to travel all the way to this midnight clinic. Hoping for a proper diagnosis, and medication, the doctor did not do it right in my eyes.. Indeed, she did not recover and i had to bring her again to another doctor. I made a complain but no news was received at all. It is so damn unprofessional... No wonder the company name is so forgetable... not worth remembering at all!!!

LTB interesting, Datelines ! - 26/01/07
But what comes is a bunch of very nice people who produces loads of ideas, enthusiasm and zest!
Just did a rough overview on the various datelines i have for this term. And found that it is more or less evenly spread out. BUT it meant, every week i would different things to worry about. From a test, to project report, to the many presentations i have to make this term.
Irritated by a food court staff - 26/01/07
What happen was there was a staff there who ignored the orders by the customers and went off to make his personal calls. This is in spite there's only another staff left only. Poor her, she had to do all the food by herself, while that irritating guy just went off to make his call. And his expression tells it all... that HE DON'T GIVE A DAMN !
Super pissed... and pity to the poor lady staff..

Its heating up! 20/1/08
This term is evenly balanced with theortical subjects and practical projects.
Hiccups is happening little by little, but its still within my expectation. Still, these tasks be it school or personal life, is breathing down my neck at times..
Pondering what could be my next step after uni life... till now, i still have no concrete answer to it. Working at Kumon for a couple of months already, Ms Yong, my supervisor made a comment a few days ago that its kinda rare that guys like to teach these days... i guess its my action during work that made her say that comment. Work at Kumon is easy. All we had to do is just to mark the kids' papers, unless u go a step further in guiding them in areas u feel they need help. Yes, some guys do teach tuition during their undergrad days because of living.. but indeed i like teaching kids even though i havent start any private tuition at all and i work also bcos of money.
Anyway, long long to go for this term, but yet it seems there isnt enough time for everything. Still, the same belief i have kept myself last term. That is to think positive, relaz whenever i can, and know that everything will be fine.

One out of 15 weeks gone! 11/01/07
Met the Profs, classmates, new group mates and the modules that i have to face this sem.
All in all, still not too bad (still as always.. look on the bright side... ) Looking forward to the challeges that i would have to face... like
1) Leadership and Teambuilding : How to conduct a Community Service Project on our own, create and retain team dynamics, grow as a team player and leader.
2)Technological and World Change: How to overcome my shortcoming over IT knowledge and upcomings... How to understand the relationship IT has with the business world and the changes that happen to us everyday.
3) Management Comm: How to properly improve my all round communication skills, be it verbal, non-verbal etc...
4) Financial Accounting: How to make use of my past knowledge of accounting to my advantage and not the pressure of doing well get to me.
5) Management Science: How to understand what this module is trying to teach us first. Till then, its careful listening and attentive in class.
Oh... i did a brave thing yesterday by dropping my Management Science class and rebidding it on another time slot. The one that i originally bided... i know practically no one except for James. During the 1st class, somehow i feel kinda lost and alone... just dont feel right...
James then said that he may consider rebidding the morning class. It was then i took that consideration too since i know like at least 3 friends from the morning class. So, after some careful analysis and discussion with james, we decided to do it.
I dropped it, and even bid at a price lower than the previous one. and we had a bit of confidence that we should get the seats. Daring ? i dont know.. but i think its rare for a year 1 student to do that... haha...

School Again! 8/1/07
2007 gone, now we are already in 2008!
School have started after a month of break.... Break, or did i really had a proper break... Oh well... if without my reservist, red cross commitment, i would prob have a better one i guess...
Anyway, start of sch, and im not sure whether or not to be happy or not.... Happy to be back in school, a student lifestyle... but not so glad that it will be more loads of work to do again for the next 3 months... ok... i have rather adapt to the SMU life already and have been steadying trying to improve on my time and people management... well i hope so..
Good luck to myself! Embrace it with courage rather than reject it with fear...
To those who are reading this too.... :)

From bad to worse 5/1/07
Yesterday after coming back home, i got to know from mum that grandma had a fall at home sometime in the afternoon when i was out. By the time i was back, it was already close to 9pm.
I went straight into her room to check up on her. Goodness, she was lying there on the bed, with her left arm unable to move at all. Upon further check, i noticed a huge bruise around the inner arm area and knew that wasnt good at all. Hurriedly, i went to call mum , Auntie Mary, and soon Uncle Long to inform them about the matter.
Aunt Roseline came over to see, while in the meantime, i went to take out my triangle bandages to immobilise her arm. When Aunt Roseline came, she decided to call the ambulance.
By the time, we were at hospital, it was close to 10pm already. And its the second time i get to sit in an ambulance since the time i was with them for attachment for my medic course. Knowing that would take sometime, i had to contact my supervisor at the tuition centre that i could not work the next day.
The whole waiting time took about 4 hours. In the end, they found out that she had a fracture on her left humerous (arm), but was able to be discharged immediately. By the time, we got home, it was closed to 2am in the morning. Even so, grandma still didnt want to sleep, so I had to accompany her at the living room trying ways to get her to go to bed.
She finally wanted to sleep at 3am... Slowly getting her to lie down the bed, i took my turn for my own rest. However, i had to wake up about 2 times more during the night when i heard her voice. Checking up on her and going back to sleep, i only woke up at 11am when Aunt Mary came to see her again.
Still, it is not over, in the afternoon today when Aunt Mary wanted to bring her to the kitchen for lunch, suddenly she just blackout, hitting her hand hard on the table, eyes rolled over. It took about 15 seconds and when i got to her, i took her fake teeth out. Slowly, she regained consciousness. We then came to know later that she almost nearly choke herself by her own phelgm. I had heard before old people choking themselves similarly, never did i know it will happen to my own grandma.
My Aunt as precaution called our family doctor here to check on her. Her parameters were fine and the simple check cost $60 just like that. All the time, she kept "vomitting" out her phelgm. I had to go out for a while to collect the Mp3 for Kenny. By the time i was back, she felt better and Uncle Richard and Aunt June came too and even got a better sling bandage for her arm.
Like what some people would say, once you have reached till a certain age, you better pray you do not fall down, or else, you never know what kind of complication it will create from it.

SMU Jersey 2/1/08

Just now, i went to RP for the first time to catch the girls team play floorball match against SIM for their IVP tourament. At the same time, also i could collect the jersey that i have ordered together with the whole team.
Surprisely, my first choice number of "6" was not taken up by any of the seniors before me. There were priority given to them. I was still hoping that i dont get my "00" that i put for my third choice ... haha....
No "6" is special to me in some way. I remembered my basketball team jersey with i was in Ngee Ann Sec team was also no. 6 so i put it as my first choice.
Oh, i did not make it to the IVP team this time. Im still new to the game and there's quite a competition for places in the guys' team. Still, this jersey would be used when we are in Div 2. next year.
Anyway, today's match for the girls' did not went well. We lost to SIM 2-4 in the end. Pity considering that we had more chances than the other team. But still in the game, it is the score that counts. This is the first time i saw the girls' team coach. Heard about him before about his tactics, and through today on his handling of the girls' team. I do not quite follow or agree with his style. But hey, i have not much authority to say much too... Hope they would improve more on their next few matches.
Right, tml is the guys' team match. Too bad, i could not make it because of the farewell dinner with Tengfu and guys. Good luck Guys!

A04 Christmas Gift Exchange Photos 2/1/08
An almost full group missing Perlyn and Terence. A rare sight !!!
All our presents gathered together! Time to give it out!
Say Wai! This is part of the present, but its so interesting. Its a eh... kinda urinal bottle.. the ones the patients used in hospital. He got this from Berrie, who bought this in Taiwan. So cool! or is it.. .haha...
Rose got this cool present from Say Wai. Its DIY clock where she have to fix the internal parts herself and its totally transparent. Nice, cute!
This is one of the no so creative presents given by Sze Mei... who else... haha... Luckily at least Berrie got it, not a guy... Would not know what would any of us guys would react if we received it... hahah...
Huili got this watch given by MEiling. Remembered I, Huili and Berrie still chose this present for her cos its unisex so its suitable for anyone to receive it. haha.. .in the end, it went back to one of us.
Ok.. the gathering had a special guest - the cutey baby... Our Da Jie's baby. A rare outing since she have become a mum. And this boy is quite active i must say. Look at how tough Sze Mei had handling him. I was sitting at the other end, so did not get to play with him much..
Look! the cutey is just eyeing the cake only la...
Xiao Wei with her kid...
I went over and give a try to carry him. Guess what, he accepts me ! wahahaha... hey, im good with kids one. No worries....
And i managed to catch this nice photo with him. Thanks to Meiling, who have taken my position of catching people's photos by surprise liao ah... keke...
Last picture of the cute one!

Sports Camp Gift Exchange 31/12/07
Our Main characters, Danson and Kesh specially went to attend a "lesson" from Danson friend who is a chef (going to work in Meritus Mandarin Hotel). There he had prepared a menu that he wanted to cook for the whole group... Totally cool! Not forgetting Eugene who offered his place acting as the host for everyone of us.
I was able to meet them early after my tuition work and they had to prepare the dinner since 3pm... The main course, salad, dessert, soap... Totally professional... I a little lost on what to do, just spend time taking pictures of them preparing, helping out some simple chores, like peeling, washing... Well, i took them to research on how to get to Eugene's house though... His house is kinda out of the way in some sense... and its hard to describe how to get there since the area is mainly private estate. I had to search through streetdirectory.com (its a good site to find out how to go to places) and find out how to teach two girls (Crystal and Mei Qian) to come to his place.
In the end, i had to personally fetch them from the bus stop since there's a distance they have to walk to Eugene's condo. I picked up Crystal smoothly as she got off the right bus stop and i still managed to show her a very nice private estate near Walton street. But for Mei Qian, guess its was dark by the time she got here... She actually miscalculate the number of bus stops i told her to count and she went passed two bus stops over... haha... funny though,... when she was describing to me where she was from her hp... "Is it near some Singapore Hindi/dont know what Association..." Luckily, she asked the bus uncle and managed to get off quickly or else, she would have gone even further... So she had to walk back while i had to move forward to meet up with her... Luckily, I did not let Crystal to go down fetch her (when she volunteered to...) or else, two girls missing nowhere in Mountbatten Road would be funny !!!!
The gift exchange was great! Everyone seemed to be pleased with their respective gifts and in the end, we still took a group pictures of the gifts, surrounding Eugene's laptop as most of the gifts are related to the laptop in a way or another. Take mine for example, as seen from my previous blog, i got this eye massager from Mei Qian which is USB operated.
My gift was taken by Danson. I prepared a piggybank, bookmark, and my DIY cap.. hahaa.. .totally worth it to me... Jasper was hoping he got my present too lor... He was so envious when Danson got it and totally sian when he got Huss' present... Oh .. right... Huss made a special appearance thanks to Esther... Nice for him to come by and join our gathering...
By 10 plus, some of them had to go back home because of next day commitments while Me, Danson, Eugene, Jasper and Crystal decided to head to Mind Cafe ... whaahaha... We played there till 3am till the store close... Had lots of fun... playing those silly, brainless games... There's still plans to head there again next friday for more.... Can't wait man... oh... hoping for a ktv outing if possible.. it will be cool too... wahahaha...
Once i get pictures of this gathering.. i would post it... Yeah!
Full Battle Order 31/12/07
Oh... Look at that... ok.. i did this like 2 weeks ago... but anyway... This is my Full Battle Order (FBO) ... wahahaha... actually sian la... i got to prepare this in advance bcos sometime in Feb, there's a mobilisation that i have to go to and its a confirm thingy. Super sian! All the way to Kranji just to scan my card and go back home with these silly things and uniform. How dumb such army activity can be.. though its necessary...I had to go and buy some of the army stuff that i lack and spent one night packing them. Ah!!!!! Why Why Why.... must we have to do this... why can't the world stay live in peace... Sickening...
Not only that, after the Feb Mob, there will be another one at the end of March, start of April...
Just hope all this silly army stuff do not disrupt my school work or project...
Christmas Presents 31/12/07

I like this. Got this from Berrie who bought this from Taiwan where she just went for her holiday. You Xin Le... Helpful for me and my grandma... hahaha... She thinks i'm old already... Bleh:)=
Another useful item from Mei Qian during my Sports Camp gift exchange. If you know it already, its a eye massager bought from Action City. Cute! Shall talk more in my Sports Camp gathering entry...

Christmas Eve 26/12/07
Well, Jj still on clutches... so Tengfu and I thought.. hey why not just bring him out... meet up... since he have been at home for 2 weeks.. already... (a very rare thing to do when he is well)..
So we arranged to bring him from his home.... took a cab... to White Sands and head to coffee club for our usual talk cock session... We reached the place at 4pm...
Time went by as we stayed at the place... In the end, we decided to eat at there too... Gosh.... as time went on again... we decided to change location ... From Ya Kun to Macdonalds... By the end, we decided to head home... oh my.. it was 11pm... gosh.. was i shocked... this was a new record when we did this... our usual timing was just about 2 hours plus... never did i expect that we would spend 7 hours... just talking and chit chatting... Gay ah... with 2 other guys... haha..
Anyway... our usual topics... surround around the issues of studies, work, etc... What a way to spend a Christmas eve... Talking... keke...

End of Magical Christmas 24/12/07
The number of bags collected in the earlier part of the day was slow. As reported by Serene Tan, she was worried that we may not reach our target.
Just for info, our initial target was 600 over 3 days... but after the first two days, as according to Slyester, the manpower allocated by Red Cross is supposed to be for 250 bags per day. After 2 days of collection, we had around 480-490. Thus for the last day, they were aiming for a total of 750 bags.
By 2pm, the number was still around 580 bags. A little surprise by the number, i went down to check the situation myself. What i saw was instead full house at every station. It was crowded, but why the number was low was puzzling. So i tried to give assurance to Serene Tan, even if we do not hit the 750 target, we would definitely be close. I was confident of that.
In the later part, i was standing near the PS gantry giving out the flyers. There, i spent a lot more effort giving out, as time was ticking by. It was about an hour plus left before the end of the registration. There, also had a Prudential booth where the agents are doing their usual survey thingy. Luckily, they did not bother us.. keke.. one of them even went to donate blood. Kudos to them...
i managed to hand out all the flyers in the end. So for me, it was a personal mission accomplished. at 5pm, i simply walked around with Serene Toh, chit chatting. It was till then, we saw Karin! She really did come for the donation. We also get to see her bf.. haha... indeed a good body for a commando...
After seeing the doctor, luckily Karin could donate. When she was at the last station, i cheekily went into store and change into the blood buddy mascot. haha.. wanted to scare Karin...
Anyway, I was in it for a while... but managed to catch some ppl's attention while they are waiting for their turn. Some took the chance to take pictures with me..got one cute kid still came and kiss "me"... wahahaha... so Happy! When i went to Karin there... so easily, she guess it that it was me... so fast... No fun....
When i changed back, it was about her turn for the bleeding bed. I managed to get them both to sit together. Throughout the donation, she was nervous about it though it was her 2nd time. anyway... luckily, it was still considered smooth in the end, though the nurse had some trouble finding her vein intially. I managed to bandage her arm at the end too... Yeah!
Oh ya.. back to the number of bags... in the end, guess what... the final figure was 755 bags... well over our target... everyone was so happy especially Serene Tan... We then took our group picture... and began to clear out the area.
to me, beside the blood donation target, i hope this event have managed to spread the message around the importance of blood donation. I hope it is a platform to create awareness to the public...and to me, that's what the whole Magical Christmas is about...

Magical Christmas so far - 22/12/07
For the 1st day, i was assigned to the Blood Buddy team... meaning i had to do the mascot and walk around... first time wearing such a big custome and i had to do all the waving, hand shaking... cute moves to entertain the public.. Think i wore it for a total about 2 hours ... We had to head into the trains and travel in it... from Dhoby Ghout to harbour front then back to Dhoby Ghout.... The mascot's head is really very big. In the train, i practically had to squeeze myself into the cabins. At times, when there are a lot of people, i could not move and had to simply stay put and wait till the next stop to reach before we get out ...
Being first time, initially, i did not really know i should do when im in it... i could not really imagine... soon, i got the hang of it and i just simply be MYSELF... i was jumping here and there... making funny moves around the station... my teamates still commented that im a super hyperactive mascot...
Maybe too active or fierce i dont know... at one point, i actually made 2 little kids cry... and they were both in the same cabin... Omg... and also i was bumped hard by a group of guys... they almost look as if they wanna rugby tackled me down... luckily i was alright...
anyway, today i was doing flyer distribution and i made my 6th donation...
Tml will be back to the blood buddy team again... More fooling around to do .. haha...

This is the poolside view of the resort that we stayed overnight at... Upfront is the beach... the waves there is a lot more stronger than the ones we see in Singapore.... Wow!
A photo taken during our trip route back to Singapore... It was definite a lot more easier than the previous day... But my Buttocks still HURTS!

Freak! Another ICT next June - 9/12/07
Again i cannot siam from it since it is during the holidays. Now, im hoping that it do not clash with any events that i hope i would be in... or else i would be cursing and swearing...
I am aiming to be part of the committee for a floorball major event which is held during the summer break and also hope to be a facilitator in one or two of the camps. Army better dont ruin my day man... it is so freaking irritating...
and the worst is .. i dont know what to pack for tml's ICT. No packing list, no nothing for us to refer to. There is a manning list... but how can a manning list be used as reference for ICT, it does not make sense... that we have to pack those standard packs for ICT. SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
The only consolation i can get from it is that at least i will be able to cover some of my 10 year cycle before i grad. i do not want to continue to go back when i am old in my late 30s or early 40s...

Desaru Bike Trip - 5/12/07
Monday i was at the biking trip towards Desaru resort. We had to meet at Changi Village to collect our rental bikes. We had to take a long ferry boat ride... 45 mins towards malaysia... Having motion sickness, the thought of being in it for so long give me some fright man... was hoping that i dont get any ill effects. Luckily, i managed to control it and was still alright when we reached the other end. However, poor Lingyi who also have the same weakness did not. In the end, she had to puke at our pit stop during lunch.
Our first part is to travel around 20 km towards Ringgit. Here, it was a straight road but my first and main complaint was that the bike seat was very uncomfortable. My butt hurts a lot.. and it was only just a few km... we had a lot more to go ... Reaching Ringgit at afternoon, we had a simple lunch before setting off.
The later part of the journey was the xiong one... there were upslopes and downslopes and they were pretty steep. that was not it. Strong winds going against us, plus the hot sun.... the road towards Desaru was not easy. We took about 4 hours when we finally reached Desaru resort. By then, it was 6pm. Almost everyone was shacked over it.
For me, i even had cramps on my thighs... first time i had cramps on my thighs.... happen when i trying to overcome a long slope.
For dinner, we had barbacue buffet, where we had fried rice, kuay teow, satay, chicken wings... similar to those that i had when i was Brunei during army.... brought back some memories ... haha... though some of us felt it was not that good.
I managed to chat with a few people after that before the debriefing... and we went to one of the rooms to play some cards. Knowing that i had to have the rest, i pulled myself to bed at 11 plus.
By the first day, i already had my shoulders and neck sun burnt. So i was hoping that there would be no sun for the return trip. Luckily, God was on my side. It was cloudy and even a slight rain before we set off. The return trip was much easiler because of the more down slopes (it was up slopes on the first day) ... Our progress was fast and we managed to reach 1.5 hours in advance back to Ringgit for our lunch again.
By the time, we reached back to the jetty, it was just 2pm. When we got back to Singapore, it was 430pm. Then i was already comtemplating whether or not to crash into floorball camp for the training in the evening. I was thinking it through all the way till home. finally i decided to go. Of course, it was met with disagreement from mum... she wanted me to rest...
I managed to reach Valhall (at kallang) for the training. Training was tough given the fact that i just reached singapore just hours ago. But it was still manageable in the end and i learnt some more of the games tactics and rulings... I went to SMU with the others for the night.
By the time i got back home just now, it was already 1 plus... shack...
Later in the evening, i still have to go to hospital to visit JJ who is undergoing his ligament surgery.

It was not too bad today, given the vagueness that topic is about. Had some difficulty in handling some of the questions but in the end still managed to answer all of them, though whether they are correct is another matter :)

New guide - 16/11/07
Well, i was on my way to school when this guy just gave me a piece of paper and started talking to me. On the paper, was words that is discussing about the purpose of life.
They guy named, Eugene, started asking about what do I want to do in life. Now, After grad, After getting a job, After marrying... and then on. I could pick up what he was getting at. Soon, he relate back to christianity.
Whatever he said, I know and have been trying to answer it myself. That is what kind of life direction do i want to go. I told him that... that im still seeking this answer inside me, on what should i do... Should i just follow what others been doing, or seek something that will give me meaningfulness while working. Hard qn to answer, harder than projs, exams, interview... haha
Anyway, he said something new and made me see a new perspective. Does doing more good things than bad equate one person to be good? Well, i do not thiink so. Supppose one person were to do 99 bad things and 100 good things, it does not mean that he is thus good.
Another point he talked about is doing what one think i right. Yes, some people do things because others think is right, while others like me do things that i feel it is right, just and moral. However, what then is right? (that was his qn)... Now, that caught me a bit...
He go on to say that one must view himself as a total sinner, not a saint. Only then will we view the lord as a saviour. I guess that is true. We ought to do that, this way, whatever we do, we must seek the RIGHT WAY leaded by the lord.
Last point that i feel that he had the same thinking. Doing things that is really from the heart. The past him was a typical christian trying to live a standard christian life. Whatever he did, whether is it to offer help, he did it because he thinks that being a christian should help. He did not do it because his heart tells him to. This had creates a fakeness, though on the outside he indeed did something good. He said... to do things that is from the heart that is the true you. I do very much agree. Doing it from the heart not for any motive or purpose. but how many can be like that. I know i cant be like that for 100% of the time. That is how he linked back to the total sinner. We are definitely not a saint.
Before i left off to school, he told me that it is good that i have been thinking about this kind of stuff. But probably i could pray and seek answer from the lord and not just think it through on my own. another new perspective... How true... I think i must have left this point out all this while. It was good of him to give me another small pocket book of the chapter of John. And he reminded me to read it.
leaving off, i continue to walk towards school. after some distance, i looked to see if he had continue to talk to other people. ... but strange, i just could not see him there. It seems like he just walked off or he simply just disappeeared. Really... this really happen. and i was wearing my specs then, so it cant be of my poor eyesight. This made me wonder if they say "an angel" sent by the lord to enlighten me. Did not want to think much, so i just continue my way to school. Strange or not? Beats me... But im glad that i had stopped then...
